Juilliard Dances Repertory

Juilliard Dances Repertory presents masterworks by acclaimed choreographers, featuring Juilliard alumnus Paul Taylor’s Roses (1985), hailed by The New York Times as “beautiful in its visual effects, poetic in its natural flow of movement.” Jerome Robbins’s ballet in silence Moves (1959) inspires “audience response directly to the curiosity of movement,” followed by Jiří Kylián’s Symphony of Psalms(1978), a transcendent work “alternating exultant and lyrical style” (The New York Times). The Juilliard Orchestra performs live in works by Wagner and Baermann for Roses, and Stravinsky for Symphony of Psalms with guest chorus Venture(NY); George Manahan conducts.
